Family fun all year-long! That's right.....all year long! There are twelve months in a year ergo 12 First Fridays. December? North Pole Stroll and City Tree Lighting. March? Nonprofit Organizations come out. Summer brings huge crowds, but do yourself a favor and check out some of the other seasons as well.
Great shopping! The downtown Gadsden merchants stay open late with specials and sales. Sample a variety of gourmet foods in King's Olive Oil. Check out all things southern at The Alabama Gift Company. Shop great boutiques for that special outfit or accessory. Purchase local art. There's something for everyone.
Awesome eats! From street vendors to fine dining you'll find all kinds of great dining experiences.
We like to say that Downtown Gadsden has more culture per square foot than any other small town, downtown in America. You'll find the Gadsden Museum of Art, Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts, plus several murals and public art installations.
Classic cars. Lining the street.
Live Music. Whether it's an acoustic set in one of the pubs or eateries, bluegrass on the corner of 5th and Broad, or a full-blown rock show at Summer Concert Series at the Amp you'll find something to suit your musical mood.
People watching. 'Nuff said........
AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON TO LOVE FIRST FRIDAY IS
Join us in historic Downtown Gadsden the First Friday of every month, and remember, wherever you live, or wherever you are, be a tourist in your own town.
