Santa has come and gone, the gifts are all unwrapped, and for some of you the decorations are packed up and put away (not me, but kudos to you!). So now what? If you have kids they probably aren't going back to school for another week and a half. If they're driving you nuts, here are some suggestions to keep them busy and for you to keep your sanity.
If you're looking for indoor fun (it's drizzling as I'm writing this) there are several options. The Factory offers over 10,000 square feet of inter-connected trampolines, a sci-fi safari galactic laser course, and an arcade. Kids of all ages can burn off some energy and have a great time. The laser tag is amazing featuring multiple themed rooms and plenty of fun!
For the younger crowd there's Let It Snow at Imagination Place Children's Museum in historic downtown Gadsden. Your tiny tots will be thrilled to play in the "snow", ride a snow slide, ice-skate in socked feet and then head over to play in KidsTown USA.
Didn't get enough shopping in before the holidays? The Gadsden Mall offers plenty to keep the kids busy. Knocker Ball has a place inside the mall where you can get inside of an inflatable ball and battle it out with friends or try some Knocker Soccer. Also in the mall is a bungee jump, indoor mini-golf, and or course, the movie theatre with 16 screens.
Have you been dying to try an escape game? At Beat 60 you can find clues, solve puzzles, and crack codes to try to accomplish a goal in under 60 minutes. Beat 60 is located in downtown Gadsden.
What did we miss? What's your favorite place to take the kids? Tag us in your photos or use #greatergadsden. We may feature you in an upcoming post or you could win a prize! And remember, wherever you live or wherever you are, be a tourist in your own town.
