Greater Gadsden Area Hometown Holiday Events You Can’t Miss!

There's nothing like Christmas in Dixie, but we just may be partial to the Greater Gadsden area's charming downtowns, gorgeous waterways, and picturesque landscapes. If you're looking for holiday activities for the whole family, look no further. Check out our list of ways to celebrate the season Greater Gadsden style!

December First Friday - This celebration on December 1 will include the City of Gadsden Christmas Tree Lighting and Coosa Christmas Boat Parade. The fun starts at 4:30 pm. For more info click here.

Gadsden Christmas Parade - This year the parade is on Saturday morning, December 2, at 10:30 am. For details click here.

Mistletoe Market - Get some holiday shopping done at 5th Street Market on December 2nd and 3rd.  Crafts, baked goods, and food vendors. More info available here.

Attalla Christmas Parade - December 7 in historic downtown Attalla at 6 pm.

Snacks With Santa  December 9 at 10 am. Get all the details at Imagination Place Children's Museum.

Polar Express Day - Visit Let It Snow, ride the miniature Polar Express train, crafts, play at Imagination Place Children's Museum, and more. Click here for details.

Christmas At The Falls - Millions of lights, train ride, petting zoo, Santa, cookie decorating, and so much more. Located in Noccalula Falls Park.

Let It Snow - Experience an indoor winter wonderland! Using a non-toxic polymer to bring the fun of snow indoors for all visitors to enjoy. It looks and feels just like real snow, but it won’t get you wet. Visitors can enjoy the snow, a slide, and sock-footed ice skating at Imagination Place Children's Museum.

Festival of Trees XXVII: National Parks and National Monuments - See more than 30 Christmas trees decorated by local schoolchildren. Using recycled materials and handmade ornaments, each tree celebrates a different National Park or National Monument at the Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts.
