It's Christmas at the Falls, Noccalula Falls, that is! The park is transformed into a spectacular winter wonderland featuring over one million lights. Trees are lit from the parking lot to the 90 foot waterfall and there are scenes and vignettes throughout the park.
Begin your adventure with a ride on the replica C.P. Huntington train. Get off at the first stop and explore the Pioneer Village and the petting zoo. You can visit Santa, decorate (and eat!) a cookie, sip hot chocolate and go to the old post office to compose and mail a letter to the North Pole! There's even a lion named Sheila!
Hop back on the train which will take you by the covered bridge and back to the main station. There are food vendors, a great gift shop and more, but maybe the most interesting addition this year is this:
Human hamster balls!! And they're lit up! How awesome is that? Roll your way across the grass out front, not sure if you can bump into someone, but whatever happens, happens, ya' know? There's an extra charge for this, but well worth it in my opinion. C'mon, you know you want to......
Make plans to visit, you won't be sorry. You may even run into the Grinch while your there. If you're in town on Saturday, December 12th, there will be a special "Ronald and Friends" event from 4PM to 6PM. Ronald McDonald will be there along with the Grinch, Princess Noccalula, Elsa and Olaf, the Minions and more.
Christmas at the Falls runs through December 27 and will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Ticket sales begin at 4PM and gates open at 5PM. Last ticket sold at 9PM. If the weather looks iffy, you may want to give them a call and make sure they're going to be open. 256-549-4663
